About Mundial:
Mundial Inc., headquartered in Walpole, MA, is the North American marketing, sales and distribution arm of Mundial S.A., whose corporate offices are located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Mundial S.A. develops and manufactures over 95% of its own products including fully forged and stamped cutlery, sewing and craft scissors, manicure implements, metal fasteners and motors.

The group and the Mundial trademark were established in Germany in 1931 by Paul Zivi. This noted metallurgist, along with his team of skilled engineers and designers, developed the most sophisticated techniques for designing and manufacturing high quality cutlery. This allegiance to quality has been maintained throughout the years for all of Mundial's products. Today, every Mundial product is produced under a rigorous quality control program that spans the entire manufacturing process from the development of the steel to the final polishing of the blade. Upon completion, every Mundial product is individually tested to ensure sharpness, precision and durability. As proof of its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Mundial stands behind its products, backing every one with a full Lifetime Guarantee against defects in materials, construction and workmanship.

Mundial Inc. is currently among the leading North American brands of cutlery and kitchen accessories sold to the restaurant and institutional markets. It is also a leader in the retail and industrial scissors/shears categories. With a growing business in retail cutlery through gourmet, specialty and department stores, Mundial products are squarely positioned as high quality and upscale, but with a distinct value advantage. Thanks to manufacturing efficiencies and more competitive costs of raw materials (Brazil is one of the largest producers of steel in the world) Mundial can position its top quality products at extremely affordable retail prices.

Mundial combines Old World craftsmanship with modern technology to produce a broad selection of products unmatched in the world for strength, durability, beauty, comfort and value.

Scissors & Shears

If properly cared for, quality scissors and shears will last for many years. Following are a few tips for the care and use of Mundial scissors and shears.

* Clean Blades
Wipe blades after each use with a clean, soft cloth. (Lint, dirt, etc. can build up and dull blades.) Do not use water.

* Use The Right Scissors or Shears For The Right Job
For example, embroidery scissors are not to be used for heavy fabric.

* Oil Scissors
Oil the pivot screw on scissors and shears every few months. Place a drop of oil on screw, open and close a few times and wipe off excess oil.

* Do Not Force A Cut
If scissors cannot complete the cut, stop cutting. Cut heavy materials near the pivot, not near the tips of the blades.

* Cut With A Watchful Eye
Hitting metal or plastic objects can cause nicks in the blades damaging them and minimizing their cutting effectiveness.

* Handle Carefully
Dropping scissors can knock them out of alignment, reducing cutting accuracy.

* Care For Pinking Shears
Contrary to popular belief, pinking shears are not sharpened by reworking the zigzag profile of the teeth. A simple edge grinding is sufficient as needed.

* Proper Storage of Scissors and Shears
Keep scissors and shears in a pouch or wrapped in a clean cloth in a safe and dry place. This will prevent accidents and keep them from becoming damaged.

Mundial Inc. guarantees satisfactory performance and freedom from defects in the material, construction and workmanship of this Mundial product for as long as you own it. Misuse and abuse are specifically excluded from guarantee coverage.
