Al Mar Knives
The SERE 2000 are world renown as two of the strongest tactical folders in existence. Originally designed by Al Mar and Colonel Nick Rowe in the early 1980's for the U.S. Army's SERE school, today's updated models are stronger, lighter and the most precision versions we've ever made. The SERE 2000 features pillar construction, flow through design, dual thumstuds and our reversible Deep Pocket Clip for discrete carry and delivers the kind of performance you need in the real world.

Pros: Pocket Clip, Overall Quality, Handle Feel, Weight, Handle Material, None
Cons: Ease of Opening
This is an excellent knife. The fit and finish is perfect in every way. This is an extremely well made knife! If you like a lighter EDC then their Eagle is great, but the SERE 2000 allows for deep pocket carry, which the Eagle does not. The handle design is study and grippy and your hands won't slip onto the blade even if your hands are wet and it's a tough "thing" you are stabbing. Maybe slightly stiff to open but not too bad. Absolutely no play in the blade. If you want an excellent knife that is cheaper consider the Cold Steel Recon, the 4" one, but if you want to step up a bit, the SERE 2000 is so great.
