The A.R.S Shanghai Shank is a multifunctional fixed blade designed to be worn around the neck. Made from a single piece of heat treated 440C stainless steel and wrapped with approximately five feet of paracord, the razor sharp shank is tough enough to withstand the rigors of the outdoors but light enough to wear daily. The unique blade profile lends itself equally well for use as a utility knife, a small skinner or a last ditch self defense tool. Comes with a custom molded Kydex neck sheath.

Shanghai Shank,A Great Gift
The knife was a gift to my adult son because he does a good bit of deer hunting and a picture of the knife made me think it might be a handy little skinning knife. On the first trip to camp, his twelve year old son (my Grandson) appropriated it and didn't take it off his neck for three days. He said he thought it looked "cool". He even used it to skin a squirrel he shot and it worked great. In the longer run, like all knives, we'll have to see how it holds an edge, but so far it's lived up to our expectations.
