Description
BC5181RAZR: 5181RAZR One-Arm Bandit Barlow
Bear & Son Cutlery

The one arm razor is a great, historical, American pattern. Designed to be used by men who had lost, or lost use of, an arm in the field—or on the field of battle. You could use your good arm to catch the blade on the heel of your boot and pop it open. Appropriate that this Bear version is made right in North Alabama!

The 181RAZ Pattern features a one-arm bandit razor blade. The blade is taper ground. This knife has nickel silver bolster.

A UNIQUE, ATTRACTIVE, & USEFUL FOLDER
I purchased this unique single-blade Barlow from KnifeCenter back in late March of 2014. The "one Arm Bandit" style blade is absolutely functional from the historical aspect of the design, and adds to the desirability of the knife. The genuine India Stag Scales (handles) are very well fitted to the knife and the nickel silver bolsters & liners enhance the high quality of this neat and unusual folder. The blade is well-fitted and works in perfect timing with the slip joint-type mechanical spring. The blade grind & sharpness reflect good workmanship as well as the overall fit & finish of the knife. As I've said before on numerous occasions, you get a lot of "bang for the buck" when you purchase a Bear & Son product.
