BlackHawk! describes this item as follows:

The Garra II is an evolution of the original BlackHawk Caracara and Garra designs, tuned for optimum performance by edged-weapons expert Michael Janich. Built on a framework of 420J stainless steel liners, it features a high-strength liner-lock mechanism, textured G-10 handles, and an aggressively curved AUS8A stainless steel blade. Its contoured handle shape boasts improved ergonomics to support a wider variety of grip styles and maximize the knifeā€™s ballistic cutting power and weapon-retention characteristics. An enhanced point angle also makes it suitable for both cutting and thrusting, making it one of the most versatile hawkbill knives available.

Pros: Handle Material, Blade Material, Lock Ease of Use, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, None
Cons: Pocket Clip, Blade Sharpness
my take
This is a good knife for those familiar with karambit defense methods and feels identical in the hand minus the ring. The thumb stud is very user friendly being that its further from the frame due to the curved blade. However when drawing the knife I have to twist it a bit or the right side stud will will catch on my pants. The pocket clip is strictly a tip down right handed affair which is too bad in my opinion. The blade comes sharp but wont shave hair on any part of the blade. The materials are great however the g10 being very abrasive and aus 8a being more than adequate. Overall its a great defensive tool once open in hand but may take longer to aquire smooth deployment than other designs.

Great Value
Added to a "Tactical" folding knife collection. This piece is well designed and well made. It is great ergonomically, is made of good materials and is finished very well. I have the Crucible folder in this collection as well, and am very impressed with the Blackhawk line of folders.
