Fantastic Hunting Knife
I received this knife as a gift and I couldn't be happier. This is a beautifully made hunting companion. The blade has a high Saber grind that ends in a razor sharp edge. Straight out of the box I cut a cash register receipt in half, lengthwise, with one stroke. Amazing. There is plenty of belly and this knife really glides through meat. It easily separates skin from a deer and even works well on tough squirrel skin. There is jumping on the back of the blade near the handle and up near the tip of the blade. The G 10 handles are quite nice to look at but even better to hold. The grooves that run lengthwise down the G 10 scales don't create any hot spots on my hand but give good grip, even when wet or bloody. The tang of the knife that runs along the top of the hangle between the scales has been scalloped and is very attractive as well as having the effect of increasing grip. The tang protrudes from the back of the handle just enough to for a lanyard hole. I generally like to have a lanyard but I won't with this knife since it will get bloody and nasty quick. The handle scales are held on with two allen bolts. The kydex sheath is a no nonsense unit with a reversible belt loop. It has decent retention and is comfortable to wear. Holding the sheath upside down I cannot shake out the knife but it is still easy to draw. All in all, this is a great hunting knife that will do anything you ask of it.
