Pros: Blade Sharpness, Overall Quality, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
GREAT knife, Sheath .... Not so much
I've used this knife to field dress 2 large bears and the ergonomics of the handle are superb, love the flat grind. I put a small convex bevel and stropped it up and is it ever sharp! WOW! It's at it's best on the tough jobs , joint separation skinning out tough spots like the head while caping out your trophy, and detail work with a choked up grip. Edge retention? It's hardened S30v so there ya go, even with my modifications of the factory edge it seemed just as sharp at the end of the job as the beginning. No for the only bad, If you are going to use as your primary hunting knife...Get a different sheath! The super sharp point works it's way through the end of the sheath and I could see a REALLY nasty cut resulting.

Cons: Blade Material, None
great knife; sheath not so great
The knife is great, seems to be well made and very sharp out of the box. What I don't like is the sheath; while appearing well made it allows the tip of the blade to protrude from the bottom and it pokes your finger. Needless to say this is not desirable feature. I have attempted to contact Benchmade on three occasions via e-mail without a response in regards to this issue.
