BM2550P: Mini Reflex
Benchmade Knives
 
The Model BM2550, Mini-Reflex, offers all of the features of the Model 2000, but in 2/3 scale. This is a perfect sized knife for everyday use. Available plain edge or with combo edge serrations. A pocket clip is standard. Available in gray tactical bead blasted blade and black hard coat anodized handle. This model has a built in safety.

The best Knife I have ever owned.
I have had this knife for going on 6 years now and have it with me at all times. The handle fits my hand perfectly, the blade locks into place and doesn't move in the least, it holds an edge marvelously - to the point where the only time I ever need to sharpen it is when I just want to make sure that I feel that it is as sharp as it can be. The blade shape and thickness is probably my favorite part of the design. The blade itself is thin and uniformly slopes from the edge to the back of the blade; this makes it cut VERY nicely and slides right through most soft things (rope, food, branches, fabric, etc) and has no trouble at all with harder things such as wood or bone. I have not been particularly nice to my knife but it continues to perform wonderfully in spite of the abuse. I can't think of anything I would use a knife for that this hasn't endured with grace. The only flaw I am aware of is the price - if it was cheaper I would probably have two of them just in case I manage to loose this one somehow.

LEO's Dream
Awesome little auto. As an LEO, it is my primary on duty knife. Whenever I am on patrol I take it with me everywhere. Why you may ask? Lightweight, small yet gets the job done, fasssst, easy to use, strong handle material, fits my hand well (med to large hands), has the safety feature if you choose to use it, good steel, and locks up tight. No thumb jimping but I got over it quick because it doesn't slip out of your hand. The main drawback is the price, YIKES. A little much for a knife but I use it all the time. RAZOR SHARP out of the box and keeps a good edge. Don't be fooled by bad reviews, as a Cop, I'd trust my life with it. If you want a great little auto and you can afford it, buy it. If you cannot afford it but still want a decent auto, look at the Boker Auto Kalashnicov for $60 or a SOG-TAC auto for about $115.

good quality but overpriced...
The quality of this knife is good but for the price I would have expected a little more. Blade is sharp but thin. Pocket clip is sturdy and safety seems solid. Major drawback is that the blade release button is very small and difficult to use with gloves on. Overall, this is definately a sturdy "no frills" knife. Customer service from Knife Center was great and they ship out fast...
