BM530P: 530 Pardue
The Model 530 is based on the Mel Pardue designed Model 350. The basic looks are the same with the spear point blade and coffin style handle design but, the AXIS lock was incorporated for added performance function. The overall design was slimmed down for a low profile, low drag carry, and the weight is still incredibly light. So if you liked the Model 350, you're going to love the Model 530.

Review of Benchmade 530 Pardue AXIS folder
I always carry a pocket knife. I have 3 knives and I will carry one of those 3 every day. I like the Pardue 530 because it is light and compact. It is in my pocket when I go places that might not appreciate a knife clipped to the top of my pants pocket. The Pardue is well made, and has reliable a locking mechanism which is simple to operate. I am very pleased with the knife and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good pocket knife.

Elegant and Practical
I own a lot of knives from a variety of companies. At this price point the 530 stands above the pack. Quality, light weight, practical. An elegant design.

Useful ultralight
Strikingly thin and light, but every bit a good Benchmade knife. In simple terms that means a well built, extremely sharp knife. Blade profile and quality is great, thin, flat, razor sharp. I bought this because of its overall (handle) thickness and use it as a backup knife usually worn in a waistband, but it would work well in a pocket. The clip is a little small and tight to be used in a boot. The odd part of this knife for me is the location of the clip, being mounted at the other end of the handle from knives that don't have the AXIS locking system. I'm not comfortable using this system yet, but that is only a matter of time. For my hand size, I would have like the handle to be about 3/4" longer. Bottom line -It has a few things I"m not crazy about but if I lose it, I will buy another.
