Description
BM530SBK: 530SBK Pardue AXIS Spear Point Folder
Benchmade

The Model 530 is based on the Mel Pardue designed Model 350. The basic looks are the same with the spear point blade and coffin style handle design but, the AXIS lock was incorporated for added performance function. The overall design was slimmed down for a low profile, low drag carry, and the weight is still incredibly light. So if you liked the Model 350, you’re going to love the Model 530.

Benchmade Pardue is a "can do" knife
Benchmade produces quality knives. Form - Fit - Function Weight - Grip - Strength of Blade - Ability to hold an edge The Pardue is a great feeling lightweight carry knife. This knife is very lightweight and holds a great edge, and deploys very rapidly. It is not as "tough-feeling" as the Griptilian, but it could probably meet almost any need (you might not want to field-dress a deer with this one), involving situations that one would encounter every day. It has a very good grip, deploys very rapidly, and is ready for unwanted situations. This is another "grown up" knife. Teach the next generation well.

good but not great
I have an older model of this knife, one without the axis lock and enjoy its slim profile. This version continues the slim profile but the handle is to flat and uncomfortable to hold. It's seems less easy to open as well.
