Pros: Handle Material, Handle Feel, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip, None
Beautiful
On a purely aesthetic note this knife is fantastic. The G-10 handle has a sort of "wood" feel to it that I really like and blends beautifully into the aluminum at the top. The pocket clip is tight but not too tight and is reversible (though only L to R, you can't switch to tip down carry). It has a steel liner inside the casing and just feels solid as a rock. Some people will comment on how it's a bit on the heavy side. I was worried about that but have to say, I couldn't be happier with it as it is. The weight not too noticable and it feels very solid in the hand. I also appreciate the smooth lines. I always get annoyed when a knife you clip in your pocket has sharp edges or too much jimping because it tends to scrape your hand when you put in in the pocket the knife is in. No problems with that here, all the edges are very smooth and seamlessly integrated. Functionally, it comes out clean as a whistle, the blade is nice and thin and has a good curve to it that makes slicing a breeze, and that M390... I don't even need to talk about that. I will also say that the safety lock (you can lock the blade in the closed or open positions with a little lever along the spine of the handle) is real nice. I appreciate that added security of knowing that the AXIS-assist isn't going to "assist" on me when I'm not ready for it. Cons: the black coating on the clip gets dinged and scratched a bit with every day use, but nothing major, some of the edges are just getting a little silvery. I don't notice it at all really. Also, I wasn't amazingly impressed with sharpness out of the box, but that is easy to fix. And it's stayed sharp as a razor since I got it whipped into shape.
