Benchmade

Wishes really do come true. Benchmade fans will recognize it as a slimmed down 705 with a pumped up blade shape for new found utility. amazing knife!
I love the knife, I carry it everyday I can (school laws) and it has to be one of the smoothest knives i have ever gotten out of the box with the amazing traditional Benchmade sharpness. I really love this knife because I'm a lefty and the (pocket clip is reversible) Axis lock can work from both sides, the axis lock knives are the perfect ambidextrous knives. I have grown out of my other knives quickly because of this one, it stays sharp and its somewhat classy look lets me pull it out most places. The thumb stud is also perfect. I get a perfect grip on it every time, no slip and it never hurts my thumbs, however the axis lock can leave you sore until it gets broken in. the only hits I have for it is the handle size, its about a half-inch too short, but that's why they make the 940 Osborne. And there is poor jimping(is that spelled right?) but its not really necessary on a knife like this. BUY IT

Benchmade 707 Sequel
Overall, a great knife. That said, I haven't figured out why they put a black G10 inlay in a black aluminum handle. Why not something cool, like giraffe bone or mammoth ivory? Rosewood? Stabilized maple? Or even a contrasting color of G-10 (red, perhaps)? The sharp-ish corners of the handle could be smoothed a bit, too.
