Great tactical knife
Great tactical knife but also useful for everyday carry if you want a 4 inch blade. Typical excellent Benchmade quality. Outstanding fit and finish. Very light weight for it's size. Perfectly balanced. Axis lock great for opening and closing. Deep carry pocket clip. I love the reverse tanto blade with stout blade tip. This knife absolutely has the stickiest nonslip handle of any knife I have ever seen. For personal defense or combat I would have a very difficult choice between carrying this contego or my Emerson CQC 8. The Emerson banana grip is more ergonomic and much more comfortable in my hand, but there is no way the contego is ever going to slip. The Emerson is beautiful in it's simplicity while the contego is much more technologically advanced. Bottom line the contego is worth the price and worthy of consideration.

A true tactical folder
I use this as a deployment folder mainly because it has the thickness and length of a fixed blade with the advantage of going in a pocket instead of a sheath. The blade comes hair shaving sharp and holds an edge really well but needs to be oiled every once in a while to keep the CPM-4 steel from rusting. The grip may seem rough to some but is absolutely awesome for a gloved hand, total control of the blade... This is one of my favorite Benchmades.
