Unique with unmatched utility
Strong recommendation by retired Army Ranger that this knife would be his first choice for a Christmas gift to my son who has started the Ranger program sparked my interest. This is a unique knife that will provide unmatched utility in the field.

Nice rescue EDC, but shouldn't be your only knife
I bought this knife as a dedicated rescue EDC. It's not too heavy or big, but is still substantial if needed. The carbide glass breaker isn't so pronounced or sharp as to abrade hands or clothing. The blade grind is unique. It wouldn't be my first choice to whittle a stick with, but it's sharp enough to cut stuff. I've used the hook to cut off wrist bands (I know, totally worth it!) and that's as exciting as it has been used so far. Typical high quality Benchmade. It's an excellent tool for what it is. Not meant to be the only knife in your pockets because of that square, blunt tip.
