Description
BO01BO582: Chad Los Banos Subcom Titan
Boker Plus

High tech style.

The Subcom Folder from Chad Los Banos was one of the keystones of the Boker Plus lineup, and quickly became one of the most popular designs from Boker. As a show of appreciation to Chad and all the loyal fans of this exceptional knife concept, we are offering a very special version, and are proud to present the Subcom Folder as a Titanium Framelock. To maintain the original dimensions, the handle scales are CNC milled with maximum precision. The original handle pattern is also milled in the scale to show the bridging, just like the original. The two-tone titanium scales feature bead blasted and fine satin finished parts, creating, in combination with the titanium clip, a very distinctive appearance. Blade steel is high performance 440C stainless. A real Boker Plus classic in a modern, high tech package. Blade length: 1 7/8". Overall length: 4 1/2". Weight: 2.3 oz. Made in Taiwan.

Cons: Blade Material, None
Awesome EDC
Very nice lightweight EDC. One handed opening is smooth and fast, but the blade is on the thin side. It's still durable though for light tasks, but nothing heavy duty.

Great Knife!
Love this knife! Small profile, nice chubby blade. Easy open, carries well, great Titanium handle. This is the 3rd one i've owned. This is my favorite one.

Pros: Pocket Clip, Handle Material, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Weight, Ease of Opening, Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Nice knife, weak blade
Excellent build quality, but I thought the titanium would be a lot lighter than it is, so not sure what the advantage of using titanium is. The blade opening is pretty stiff, it takes some practice to "one hand" it. The blade is very thin and seems a bit fragile. Not sure how well it will take/hold an edge. The short and radiused blade design isn't as useful as a plain old pocket knife. The edge isn't that sharp when it comes from the factory; definitely needs honing. Overall a nice knife, thin and clips strongly on to a pocket. It also has a hole for a neck look if you want and the clip can be removed if desired. My only disappointment is the quality of the blade, I wish it were thicker and had a more useful grind. But overall, I'm happy. Bought 2 of them and gave one to my wife to carry when she's out on the farm!
