Good knife, great price
I just got this knife and have not used it yet. I think Boker does more with 440 stainless and micarta than anyone else-I enjoy their Plus line and have several knives from their collectible series. This is a big chopper, suited for slicing and hacking, but it looks too nice to do much of either. The weight forward can be brought to bear by grasping toward the butt, there is a good feeling palm swell and the micarta scale looks great. It comes with a leather sheath, and the sale price cannot be beat.

More than just a collectible piece
Like the other Boker Plus Collection models, the 2011 model is an eye-pleasing, limited edition collectible with a lot of creativity and flair. But beyond that, this is a high-quality, tough, and easy-to-use cutting tool that can hold up to a lot of heavy duty work. The size of the blade is just right for an all-purpose survival-type knife and the blade shape is ingenious. The wide belly and offset edge give this knife considerable power and leverage when cutting down and across, which means it makes bushcrafting less tiring and a lot quicker. The 440C steel, while not amazing, does an excellent job of taking and keeping a nice working edge while being fairly easy to sharpen in the field. I've also found it to be adequately corrosion-resistant for extended outdoor use, though I wouldn't want to leave it sitting in salt water or anything like that. Although I have not taken this knife hunting, I can say from experience that the shape should make this a good field dressing knife as well as a bushcrafter. The sheath is not fantastic either, but is serviceable. It is probably the weakest point if the entire package, and if you intend to use this knife extensively I would suggest having a better sheath made. Overall, this earns its five stars by being a high-quality and extremely versatile outdoors knife, with no substantial drawbacks, for a price well below its worth.
