Pros: Blade Material, Materials, Handle Material, Weight, Finish, Overall Quality, None
This knife is one of my favorite blades. It is a large knife but it feels light and balanced in your hands but is burly enough to baton through logs. The choil allows for choking up on the blade quite nicely. I started cleaning one of three deer I shot this past hunting season with this knife, it is so comfortable and balanced that I proceeded to use it to fully butcher and bone out all three deer. The D2 does stay sharp as others have stated. It sharpens up with little trouble on my WSKO sharpener. I also like that it isn't too thick. It is nimble enough to use in the kitchen slicing vegetables and meats. Al lot of companies just put an edge on a pry bar which makes for a mediocre cutting tool. I do have to say the sheath is a bit flimsy. It works, but it isn't the best sheath. I would have paid more for a well done sheath. There are many custom sheath makers on the web. I ended up getting a new sheath. I am totally fine with this. I got a cool leather cross draw sheath. I am very happy with this blade, especially for the price. I can use it and enjoy it without too much anxiety. This knife is a winner. Very well done!
