Description
BO02BO272: VoxKnives Rold
Boker Plus

Tough and rugged.

With the Rold from VoxKnives, we have a new player on the Boker Plus team, which fills the void for a real camp knife. The massive full tang construction with mounted G-10 scales provides, in combination with the extremely tough D2 tool steel, extraordinary ruggedness with the fully flat grind, offering outstanding cutting capabilities. The rivet tubes not only reduce the weight of the knife, but also allow the addition of a lanyard. The additional index finger choil gives the ability to grab the handle "short" for better control in fine and precise cutting tasks, while the notched thumb ramp and the dove tail shaped handle butt maximize the control in chopping and other heavy duty chores. The blue fiber layers add a subtle contrast to the handle. The very well balanced design clearly shows the long years of experience from Jesper Voxnaes regarding the demands of hunting and the outdoors. Includes a Kydex sheath. Blade length: 6 1/8". Overall length: 11". Weight: 10.5 oz.

Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Excellent blade
This knife is one of my favorite blades. It is a large knife but it feels light and balanced in your hands but is burly enough to baton through logs. The choil allows for choking up on the blade quite nicely. I started cleaning one of three deer I shot this past hunting season with this knife, it is so comfortable and balanced that I proceeded to use it to fully butcher and bone out all three deer. The D2 does stay sharp as others have stated. It sharpens up with little trouble on my WSKO sharpener. I also like that it isn't too thick. It is nimble enough to use in the kitchen slicing vegetables and meats. Al lot of companies just put an edge on a pry bar which makes for a mediocre cutting tool. I do have to say the sheath is a bit flimsy. It works, but it isn't the best sheath. I would have paid more for a well done sheath. There are many custom sheath makers on the web. I ended up getting a new sheath. I am totally fine with this. I got a cool leather cross draw sheath. I am very happy with this blade, especially for the price. I can use it and enjoy it without too much anxiety. This knife is a winner. Very well done!

Pros: Handle Material, Weight, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Excellent Knife - Sheath stinks - new belt clip design
The knife has great balance and fits nicely in my hand. Blade is very sharp and stayed that way after clearing brush most of the day. The sheath is fine, the problem is the belt clip that is shown in the pictures is not what comes with the knife. They redesigned the belt clip and I can't figure out how to make it work even after talking to Boker tech support. The answer is... well.. it's be redesigned. The design stinks! Please go back to the old design.

AAAAA+
Absolutely Great Knife! Such a good functional & aesthetically pleasing design. Ergonomics are great, razor sharp. Will take any abuse you could throw at it. I am not that keen of the sheath at all, replaced with nice leather sheath. And a stainless steel would have been preferred - but still a awesome knife!
