Boker Plus

A design by Boker's own Terry Trahan, the TUF (Terry's Urban Fixed Blade) is a versatile EDC with a wide range of applications. The deep finger grooves and the angled end of the handle provide maximum grip, and the high polish 440C stainless steel blade has a moderate thickness of 3.1 mm. A magnet holds the knife securely in the innovative leather sheath, by Chuck Pippin, and has a special strap for carrying in the waistband. The handles are crafted of sturdy cocobolo wood. Blade length: 4 3/4". Overall length: 8 3/4". Weight: 4.8 oz. Made in China.

Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: Finish, None
Great knife for price
I really like this knife and its sheath. Wearing the sheath IWB on the left draws into reverse grip, which is cool if you're left-handed like me, and the handle shape makes it pretty easy to spin around to forward grip. The two wooden handle slabs don't match up well on mine, one is noticeably thicker and the other is longer. But for under $40, it's a great knife.

440C Boker TUF - Good Enough!
Excellent knife from Boker in 440C. No way I could make a knife of this quality at this price point myself (and I make knives). Light weight, good blade length, comfortable handle, feels solid in your hand (i.e. not flimsy), good steel, and well built. You're not carrying around a bowie knife, it is a hunting knife. Price point is incredible for the features and performance you get from this knife design. Have used it (like others mention) for kitchen duties as well as in the field hunting and dressing geese, deer and hogs here in Texas. My knife was super sharp out of the box and has stayed that way. Yes, the sheath is a little funky. But I had a sheath for a skinner that it fits nicely and more securely. No big deal you can get sheaths anywhere. The knife is what I am rating and it is excellent at a really great price for the quality. Favorite blade.

Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Excellent knife
Excellent practical knife, works well in food prep and is sturdy enough to use for serious social encounters. Sheath not so good, impossible to resheath one handed when the sheath is on the belt. Suggest to anyone buying one they plan on having a sheath built, at this price why not!
