BO02BO620: Hunter Killer
Boker Plus
Jerry Hossom is a designer who has worked with many knife manufacturers over the years. Here at KnifeCenter, we are pleased to see that his designs have found their way to Boker, who can make a really beautiful, high quality, large fixed blade at a price all of us can afford!
Jerry Hossom is a knifemaker known for his sweeping design lines. With the new Hunter Killer, we are proud to introduce a design with his characteristic style that is both highly functional and collectible. The black Micarta handle scales are attached with mosaic pins, and provide an attractive contrast to the finely brushed 440C stainless steel blade. This stylish piece offers not only a sophisticated look, but also excellent ergonomics, despite its relatively flat design. Includes a high quality leather sheath.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Finish
Great design, terrible manufacturing
Beatutiful design, fell in love with it. When I went on and bought one, I found at home that the blade is faulty - it is bent in cca 1/3 of its length from the tip. Too much prssure applied during grinding. Seen when you look against light over the back of the knife. I claimed the piece and received another one with the same failure! I contacted the Böker importer in my country, they were very helpful and ordered 2 more pieces, both of them are reported by them to have THE SAME FAILURE! Böker claims that the failure is within tolerance of a failure-free knife, yet offered money back, which I accepted. Yep it is not seen if you do not examine the knife into detail, but once you grab it in your hand, you figure out quite easily that something is wrong. I use knives for hiking, during work with wood in forrest, cutting, chopping, crafting bows and other stuff in nature. Could be this is just aesthetic failure regarding the usage mode, but this knife value is "the Jerry Hossom design", isn't it? Either Jerry Hossom or Böker didn't do their homework right, that makes it really a drawback. Reading the review above about the hollow ground blade, maybe the design (and steel quality) is one of the few values of the knife, not being eally good for practical use. Good for looking at, mostly on pictures ;-) That makes emotinally very dangerous trap for a knife-lover ;-) Be cautious when buying!

Pros: Materials, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Beautiful knife, but not a user.
Beautiful knife. Very thin, but that is Not a bad thing. Makes it very concealable with the right sheath. Wanted this knife for using, but after close inspection I realized the hollow ground blade was razor blade thin for about 3/4 of an inch all the way up the blade. Makes for a razor sharp edge, but would probably not stand up to any hard use, such as hacking or combat use. For the price I was very disappointed. It will make a fine kitchen knife. Hollow ground blades take a great edge, but sacrifice blade strength. Sheath is worthless, but that won't matter with it sitting in my kitchen drawer. Would only recommend for kitchen use or just to look at.

not as good as it described
Knife made of good material. It seems very reliable, heavy duty and strong. But in the same time it is difficult to handle. A haft is extremely uncomfortable. Take a closer look before buying this knife
