BO02MB565: Giant Bowie
Boker Magnum

Ranch Hands.

An interpretation of the legendary Vietnam style Bowie, with impressive dimensions. The 440 stainless steel blade features a precise grinding and is extremely sharp. The guard and pommel are made of polished stainless steel, and the genuine leather handle features soft finger grooves, which tops off the overall looks of this classic piece. Includes leather sheath. Overall length: 12 5/8". Blade length: 8 1/8". Weight: 11.6 oz. Made in China.
Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Materials
Looks pretty but handle hides a secret
This would be a fantastic knife if but for one thing. The tang is a piece of screw stock that is welded to the blade. Then they ad the hilt, some leather washers, and then they screw on the butt cap and polish. A couple of good whacks on something hard like a maple and the handle is going to snap right off. I found this out because the handle and butt cap was loose on the one I got and I unscrewed everything and saw the ugly truth. I should have sent it back and dont know why I didnt. It's been sitting in my safe for a couple years.

Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
pretty decent knife
This knife is pretty decent (as the headline suggests). When i first recieved the knife, i was dismayed to find that the blade was tilted at a slight 10ish degree angle. However, this defect is only skin deep, i immediately put the knife to work processing some wood, and the knife held up beautifully. To further test the durability of the knife, i threw it at some targets. Upon finishing, the knife remained completely intact, and showed no signs of strain whatsoever. The blade hadn't even dulled (by the way, it comes razor sharp out of the box). I would definitely suggest this knife to anyone lookimg for a decently priced camp knife, its too big for more practical uses.
