Description
BO110171: Titan Hunter Stag
Boker

High performance.

The difficulty in hunting big game will always be there, and a successful hunt brings about a feeling of "mission accomplished!" But anyone who has been there realizes that this is when the real work begins. So why use a knife that is awkward, dull, and dangerous? Not only is this design a classic hunter that just "feels good" in your hand, the latest in blade steel will perform like no other. Cronidur 30 is the latest in premium steel, resulting from high demand. This steel is exclusively available for the sporting knife market to Boker, in Solingen, Germany, and is a high nitrogen stainless steel with a RHC of 58-60. Favorable flexibility and corrosion resistance that surpass even 440C stainless steel. Because of the fine grain structure, re-sharpening is not the chore of other hard steels. Also features a titanium liner lock and bolsters for weight reduction and durability. Blade length: 3 1/2". Closed length: 4 1/2". Weight: 3.5 oz. Stag horn handle. Made in Solingen, Germany.
Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Pros: Blade Material, Handle Material, Overall Quality
Cons: Lock Type, None
Not exactly like the picture.
Well built ! I thought it would have a better blade locking system. Horn material is excellent on my knife # 47. It is a "handfull" the horn material is wider than expected.

Great Looking Knife
Haven't used the knife yet, but it sure looks good. However, that wasn't true for the first version of the knife that was sent me. It had a small blemish on the blade, and the stag wasn't configured evenly on both grips (one side was significantly thicker than the other). KnifeCenter went out of its way to make it right with me, immediately exchanging the knife and replacing it with a winner. Very impressed with their service. This is a heavy use hunting knife that feels very solid in the hand, but don't expect it to be light or thin- it isn't. It looks and feels like a typical fixed blade stag handle hunting knife that happens to fold in half. I like the look and I am very pleased with the knife.
