DescriptionBO111999: Custom Design Collection Scala Traditional Folding KnifeBoker
In the heart of the historic old town of Graz, Herr Rino Scala, his wife Mercedes and their son Matteo offer an outstanding variety of pocket knives, high-quality kitchen knives, prestigious cutlery and manicure sets. The company which was established in 1870, can look back on a long tradition and is still family-owned in the fourth generation. A great passion of the family are real Damascus knives, which is reflected in the range of products, which also contains hand-forged unique pieces by Rino Scala. Go to www.scala-murgasse.at and get a first impression of the vast collection as well as of the city of Graz. After creating his first knife, the Optima with snake wood scales, Rino Scala realizes once again a highly interesting knife concept, this time in collaboration with Böker. A classic hunting and outdoor knife of traditional design, manufactured by hand in the Böker Knife Manufactory in Solingen is equipped with fascinating Palmira scales. Those generate a beautiful contrast to the high-gloss polished nickel silver body. As a homage of the region of Steiermark and as crossover to the modern age, the designer chose N690BO blade steel, a cobalt-alloyed steel by Böhler, a company based in the Steiermark, providing excellent edge retention and outstanding corrosion resistance. In this version, the CDC Scala will not only convince hunters and similar users. Due to strict limitation of only 100 pieces worldwide, it will be a precious item in every collector's cabinet. Delivered with certificate of authenticity.
The classic hunting and sporting knife, hand crafted in the Boker knife factory in Solingen, gets a new appearance with the very attractive scales of Palmira wood, that fits perfectly to the mirror polished nickel silver bodies of the knife. For the blade steel, Mr. Rino Scala selected the known N690BO steel from Bohler in Steiermark, Austria that offers an outstanding cutting performance and shows a very impressive rust resistance.
