Pros: Overall Quality, Sheath/Scabbard, Handle Material, Blade Material
I have used and abused this knife now over the last 2 years in extreme marine and jungle environments. The kydex sheath is a key feature for my purposes...wearing it on my belt is comfortable, and I have rigged my own velcro leg straps for diving operations and it sits nicely on the inside of my calf. The metal holds a decent edge although the serrations don't add too much value for cutting thick rope, however the power in the grip and the blade maintenance make up for this. I have broken the tip but have simply sharpened the broken end and it still has good penetrating power. The blade has been strong enough for leveraging certain items. It doesn't go a day without rinsing it to manage corrosion after marine ops and a soak in a cup of coke and a rub with some sand paper after extended time-in-field and the steel virtually comes back to new. After a fair amount of abuse over the years, the handle components aren't as tight as when new but admittedly this is because of fine sand getting into from extensive diving, not bad for a knife that is not a diving knife. Also have no lack of confidence in mounting the knife upside down on chest rigging...the kydex sheath has never let me down.
