Pros: Weight, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening
Extremely thin, strong and light EDC that you cannot beat for the price. Despite its light weight blade that the designer explains on his web page does not have the mass for full opening action using its Carson flipper alone (absent some very strong wrist snap or a full arc swing of the arm as the flipper is depressed), opening with index finger on the flipper and thumb simultaneously on the thumb stud gives effortless control allowing the blade to be rotated out from its handle either slowly and silently or as quickly as any spring "assisted" knife. (This may be due to the fact that the Trance was originally designed to be Boker's first entry into the assisted opening arena, but executives at the company decided to produce the model instead as a manual tactical). Despite its non-traditional profile, the blade point also indexes well in any grip style, meaning its point is going to accurately puncture whatever part of any target your hand instinctively thrusts at.
