Introducing the TOPS/Buck Collaboration

The CSAR-T is a full size, working folding knife that was produced in collaboration between Buck Knives and TOPS Knives. It shows the best characteristics of both companies. It has the stout, solid engineering of the TOPS brand and the meticulous manufacturing of Buck. The CSAR-T features a hex opening that can take a bit/socket attachment. Attachments are not included, only the opening that can take one, but standard tools should work. It also comes with a high quality Nylon sheath. Handle measure 5" and the pocket clip is reversible.

Buck describes this item as follows:

As we have done successfully before, we have forged a collaboration with TOPS Knives, blending the talents of two Idaho knife makers to produce a series of knives designed to be reliable tools for those who protect and serve our country. It's the ideal blend of a highly respected custom knife company with our ability to produce custom-production knives, making them affordable to a far wider market. The TOPS/Buck CSAR-T (Combat Search & Rescue Tool) is the first result, a liner-lock with tough G10 handles and a blade that is a 3 1/2" modified tanto, made of 0.175" thick, high-grade steel.

Love it!
I just received my new knife, & upon inspection & comparison to my Emerson Commander, I was very impressed. I bought this knife based on the reviews that I read on this site. It is clear to me who is strong & who is not. I have worked construction for 30+ yrs, & I have no complaints about the operation of my new knife. PERFECT! I bought my first BUCK knife in 1971 form the factory in El Cahon Calf. I still have it & it works perfectly. That is when I became a BUCK fan. Over the years Buck has had some winners & some losers, But this is DEFINITLY a winner!! Perhaps not the most elegant, more like a PITBULL!! CUDOS BUCK!!

buck yeah!!!
ive had this for at least 3 yrs now , its in my pocket every day and used every day . at first i was a little hefty for every day carry , but now i dont even notice it . it is a heavy multi purpose tool . i use the tanto tip as a scraper , chisel , pry bar and keep it as sharp as an axe . the rest of the blade i keep really sharp but not razor sharp so i dont have to worry about chips . if you keep it oiled and cleaned it snaps open with authority , and any one who complains about how sore it is to open should probably look for a more feminine knife . i have never used the hex hole , but if it came down to it i would . the g-10 scales are extremely rugged . my only complaint is the lack of a buck logo on the pocket clip .

the spring to release the blade is so strong that you cant open it more than once or you will injure your thumb. virtually unusable.
