Buck Knives

Buck Knives describes this item as follows:

We understand the importance of integrating eco-friendly materials into our products, and we are enthusiastic about our major step forward with the use of PaperStone for our handles. Made from 100$ post-consumer recycled products, it's the greenest material you can find. More importantly, it's rugged, withstands heat or cold, and is very durable. First used on handles for our Metro, with positive results, it's now key to the beginning of our line of EcoLite knives, which are very light but extremely durable. Imagine a knife with exactly the same great features as our classic 110, but now with half the weight and without sacrificing any of the features and advantages you want and need on the trail or on the job.

  • Handles are made of eco-friendly PaperStone, the greenest material you can find, made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and a proprietary petroleum-free resin.
  • EcoLite knives are strong and rugged, able to withstand extreme temperatures and moisture, providing a very reliable knife.
  • They are ultra lightweight, making them very convenient.
  • Blade: 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) clip, 420HC steel
  • Thickness: 0.120"
  • Length: 4 7/8" (12.4 cm) closed
  • Weight: 4.1 oz. (116.2 g)

Cons: None
Buy 'em while you can!
Now I know why the 110 is so beloved. This fine knife is being discontinued by Buck, so get it while you can. It's a good weight for it's size. Paperstone scales and skeletonized liners do a great job of saving weigh, but the knife feels solidly constructed. The lock is snaps in smartly, and there is no play. Fit and finish is top notch, with smooth, flush backspring and a acceptably centered blade. The cordura sheath serves its purpose well, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. This knife affirms my belief that Buck provides a good knife at a fair price. Made in the USA, hooray!

You get a lot for little money!
It's a great classic style knife! It has a very solid feel. It is very sharp right out of the box. The bolsters and trim are nickel/silver. The blade is tight with NO wobble. This knife looks and feels like a quality item. This is one of the best values in a pocket knife I've ever seen. It's excellent for everyday use, or added to a collection.

110 Ecolite
Wonderful knife. I love my 110 Dymondwood folder but find myself using the ecolite more and more as my everyday carry due to its light weight. Just a great tool with a very useful blade.
