Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Great EDC
The Buck Vantage Avid is a good quality knife for a reasonable price. The charcoal dymondwood scales on the one I received are excellent! Although I did notice a small reddish mark on one side, but nothing too bad. It came pretty sharp out of the box, and the Sandvik steel seems nice. I didn't care much for the pocket clip, as it seemed thicker than necessary, and was a bit of an annoyance when handling the knife. And the knife is small enough to fit comfortably inside a pocket, rather than clipped on anyway.

Disappointed, Buck should do better
This is a really nice looking knife, but fails on quality control. Blade was so dull it wouldn't cut paper. Blade centering is way off. The lock wouldn't engage at all unless I flung the blade hard, had to cycle the blade abount a hundred times before it would engage properly. I expect better from Buck knives.

the blade flipper is small but you just have to flick your wrist. if you have big hands get a bigger model but this one is a decent fit for my hands.
