My Buck guthook ring
I got this prouduct as a christmas gift in 2011 so I did not get to use it deer hunting but this guthook ring works well on rabbits and squirrl's as well. I also plan on using this for deer hunting because it is light weight when being carried on your belt and if the nylon sheath gets wet it does not take long for it to dry while you are carring it. This would make a good gift for the person that is just getting started in to hunting and then get a good small buck fixed blade knife and that will be all you need knife wise unless you are like me and order a new one to hunt with.

MY BUCK GUTHOOK RING STAINLESS STEEL VERSION
I got this as a christmas gift in 2011 I use it when i squirrl hunt and plan on using it for deer season this year as well. I have a buck guthook knife but just recently had to send it back because it would not hold a edge or get sharp at all so till i get the knife back from Buck I am using this guthook ring along with my buck max lite fixed blade. I am curious to see what they do about my knife but till then i will use this. This guthook tool is very nice and lite weight while climbing hills in the woods it works well for skinning rabbit's as well as squirrl's. With the way it is made it is lightweight with nylon sheath and will be small and compact will work good for deer and other hunting needs as well. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting a guthook tool that is small and compact. Go for this guthook tool it will do all and everything you want to do hunting wise as well.

guthook
I actually bought the guthook to speed up the skinning process of large fish like salmon and steelhead. It works better than I had hoped, three quick strokes and the fish is ready to have the skin removed. Not something most people would need, but I skin a lot of fish so I love it.
