Pros: Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Blade Material
Excellent all purpose knife for the outdoorsman
I've been carrying this knife around for about six months now. I've made fuzz sticks with it, sliced food, and done gardening work with it. Has nice backsprings on it; not too hard to open, but with a definite bias towards staying open and good snap. I love the Case CV steel. It does take a patina. Some guys force it, but I just used mine in the kitchen a few times to get it started and let it go. Keep the blades clean and dry and you have nothing to worry about. They will discolor, as will all carbon blades, but that's a tradeoff for a blade that is easy to get razor sharp and with pretty good edge retention. Flat ground blades perform very well. They aren't as strong as sabre grinds, but sabre grinds are for people who abuse knives. This is a classic American pocket knife that will last the rest of your life, taking care of you as long as you take care of it.
