The perfect knife for me.
This knife is now my EDC, and by far my favourite EDC so far.I use my EDC for just about everything except camping and specific outdoors work. Warehouse work, meat prep as well as martial arts and hand to hand combat.Having many friends with an unscrupulous past, and as a self defense instructor, I do treat my M1 knife as a 'tactical' choice first, and a tool second, and with that in mind the knife is perfect. The titanium lock and handle is smooth against your palm and the G10 has good friction against your fingers. This enables you to switch grips very easily, and after extended practice you do notice the contours of the handle. I've read this as a 'con' on other sites, but I prefer it. It keeps me aware of the knife's location and direction at all times. It weighs almost as much as my phone (Xperia J), so it's pretty light. It's easy to open once you learn how to flick your fingers/wrist. I got it on the 2nd try when I first took it out of the box, and it's designed that way so in your pocket - or when caught on something or is pulled from the tip- the knife doesn't open, Titanium frame-lock - need I say more?Lastly, on the quality of the blade and the sharpness, it came razor sharp out of the box, in fact I stuck it through a car hood and washed it and cut up a goat's hindquarters without hindrance. It's been almost a month and I only touched it up once (with only two strokes on an Arkansas 8000 grit stone) only to joke to mates about being able to shave with it.Overall, it is a phenomenal knife, especially for the price. It's lighter and slimmer than the ZT0200, and tougher (and I feel more practical.Do bear in mind that it IS designed to be a fighting knife first, and a tool second; but it went through a car hood and then proceeded to slice meat, so short of battoning - it'll do the job.Highly recommend!
