CISH6006KFG: Tiger Elite Katana
CAS Hanwei

The Tiger Elite Katana has been re-designed from kissaki to kashira. Utilizing a hand forged and folded Performance Series katana blade and some of the finest fittings available, the Tiger is equally at home as a cutting blade or showpiece. The K120C powder steel blade is differentially hardened using the traditional claying method which produces a HRC60 edge and HRC40 back. This allows for superior edge holding and cutting ability while allowing the blade to absorb the shock of a blow. The hamon (temper line) and hada (folding pattern) are very prominent. The koshirae (fittings) are all made from blackened bronze and detailed in gold. The tsuba (guard) is made from blackened iron with a ‘stalking tiger’ motif. The same is of the finest ray skin while the tsuka-ito (handle wrap) and sageo (scabbard cord) are made from top-quality japanese cotton. The Tiger is supplied with a protective cloth bag and traditional maintenance kit.

Just what I needed
The ninja's visits started to become more frequent. Sadly, my tripwires, blowgun and throwing stars were not enough to fend him off much longer. Late one night he returned and got past my perimeter defenses without raising alarm. Luckily, I was in the study just finishing the last pass over my elite tiger blade with the powder ball when I felt his presence behind me. I quickly flung around into my stalking tiger stance wielding the blade back ready to rumble. His eyes grew as he focused on the gold beasts on the tsuba, likely realizing he stepped in on the wrong dojo. An epic battle ensued leading to the destruction of most of my house... as well as the ninja's obviously inferior excuse of a katana before he employed diversion tactics escaping the tiger's grasp. I have come to believe that the only thing that would stand a chance stopping this sword would be a lightsaber.. and even then it would have to be some serious midi-chlorian roided out yoda clone to even scratch this bad boy. The only mistake I made with my purchase was that I didn't buy two of these for dual wield scenarios.

Paul Chen's Tiger Katana
Extremely well balanced razor sharp blade. Ready to use or display. Cutting ability is high to extreme. Only the Musashi Heavy Katana might edge the Tiger out in a competition.
