AUS-8 Steel
AUS-8 is a Japanese medium-carbon, high-chromium stainless steel. One word says it all, "balance." It offers exceptional balance between toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. Balance provides lasting value. AUS-8 ranks among the hardest, toughest, and most rust-resistant knife alloys. It's a trusted favorite that enthusiasts prefer time and again.

Carbonitride Titanium
Carbonitride Titanium is one of the hardest surface treatments containing titanium. Harder than carbide. Harder than chrome. Our proprietary process creates a permanent molecular bond with the blade surface. Will not flake, blister, chip, or peel. A complex crystalline structure forms which protects the blade surface against wear, staining, and damage.

Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber is made from a polymer called polyacrylonitrile combined with woven Kevlar during a complicated heating process. It is widely used because it has a number of characteristics that make it ideal for products required to be light in weight but extremely strong! Carbon fiber is 5X Stronger than steel and lighter than aluminum!
AUS-8 Stainless Steel
AUS-8 Stainless Steel
A very widely used EDC steel, AUS-8 can take a very nice edge while also maintaining moderate edge holding and corrosion resistance properties.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Blade Sharpness, Weight, Blade Material
Cons: None
Good EDC
picked this knife up because I thought it looked " modern " and I was curious about the carbonitride coating . I wasn't really wanting to use it as a work knife because I'm pretty brutal on a work knife . It's been about a year now and it's worked it's way into my work knife , half the time . The carbonitride coating is indestructible , it really is something ! The knife is light in weight and the blade holds an edge well and sharpens easily . The scales loosen up but it tightens with a star bit . I haven't broken the tip , which I figured I would have by now but it's pretty tuff . All in all a good EDC that can take some abuse too . Carbon scales feel very different compared to everything else . My only complaint is that , when locked , the liner is a little tuff to unlock .. though that is a lot better than the opposite

Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
I can't remember why or when I bought this one. Probably becuase it was cheap for having carbon scales. Anyway, the blade is blistering sharp and deploys very easily and very rapidly with a single thumb stroke. I guess I'm not overly impressed with the design. It works and it fits my'll go into my EDC and it will be one of those that won't break my heart if it gets lost or broken. I'm not sure why I feel that way - it is made and put together well, is sharp and has a useable blade shape............
