Description
CN35622HC: Bush Cutlass | Carbon Steel
Condor Tool & Knife

The Bush Cutlass is a sword/machete hybrid. It is not a show piece, and functions just as well as it looks with a polished sharpened edge and an indestructible polypropylene d-guard handle. This tool is a welcome addition to any saber fencer's armory, as the owner should not be afraid to take it out and use it both during practice or out in the bush. If the Sword is going to be used in practice, it is necessary to dull it with a file first. It comes with a high quality black leather sheath.

Pros: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Cons: Handle Material
Not worth it
I purchased this and the Cold Steel Cutlass Machete (which was cheaper) and I've got to say, this pales in comparison. The blade is thin, the handle is so small my hand almost doesn't fit (and I'm a teenager), and the ornamentation is weak. All in all, subpar. The only saving grace is the sheath, which is a perfect fit and looks great.

Hehehe...fun
This is an unusual machete. I would not describe it as heavy duty, although it seems fairly strong, because its talents lie not in brute-force chopping but in wicked, deep slashing and clearing of brush and other softer materials. It is also a nice choice for self-defense, as it both looks and performs like a cutlass, and is fairly intimidating yet easy to wield in confined spaces. If you keep the exposed steel edge oiled and protected, it will take and keep an excellent edge, which paired with just the right curve, gets through jungle foliage (bamboo, vines, etc) and grasses like a razor through arm hair. The sheath deserves special mention. It is sturdy, swift on the draw, and with its swivel mechanism it is exceptionally easy to wear while sitting, walking, riding, doing pretty much any activity. The swivel is a fantastic idea for any kind of machete, and I am disappointed that more machetes have not made use of the idea. The bush cutlass is more refined than most machetes; an intermediate step between a chopper and a sword. In the right environment it is positively thrilling to wield, watching it sail through huge clumps of vegetation. If it were just a little more versatile, it would earn five stars on my scale. What it does, it does exceedingly well.

ok machete
i am a collector, i bought this along with a Cold Steel Cutlass Machete, since i couldn't decided on which one to actually buy and the reviews are great for both. i had received the cold steel cutlass machete first and it was a solid cutter and sharp the balance was great for cutting. (sheath kinda sucks tho) when i received this Condor Cutlass, I can't help but compare it to the cold steel cutlass machete. i noticed that the blade was narrower and doesn't seem to have the heft or balance for cutting. the blade is sharp enough to slice thru paper, But the tip of the blade COULD be pointier, it's kinda rounded off, the finger guard is made of plastic and Un-reinforced with steel. the sheath is excellent, i wish all machetes comes with this type of sheath given what i know now? I would have just bought the cold steel cutlass machete. it has a better balance for cutting, it's also cheaper.
