Not ready for prime time
I purchased one of these from another vendor. I own several Condor knives and one of their axes, and out of all of them, this one has the most quality control issues. To start, when I received this knife, the first thing I noticed was the very uneven grind. It was BAD. Now I can tolerate a slightly uneven grind, particularly in an economy knife. Typically, I can correct the grind myself with a stone or other sharpening tool. But this one was SO bad that it would have required me to take it to a professional to have the blade grind re-profiled. So....I sent it back. The knife that they replaced it with, was almost as bad. In fact, it almost looked as if it was the original knife that they had attempted to resharpen. AGAIN, I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT I DID NOT BUY THIS KNIFE FROM KNIFECENTER.COM. In any case, I didn't want to expend any more funds with shipping costs, so I'm going to just live with the knife until I can get the blade reground. I would add here that I have two of the Condor Thai Enep Machete blades and both of them have excellent grinds. Very even and sharp. As far as function is concerned, I have not worked with it that much, but it seems to perform pretty well. I am not impressed at all however with the black finish that Condor applied to this blade. It flakes off when you use the knife. So, I will probably get some stripper and remove what's left of it and either leave the blade bare, or blue it. I really like the handles Condor puts on their knives. Nice wood. And while they are not what I would call completely finished, it is very easy to work with them to get them exactly the way that you want them. I like leather sheaths Condor provides with their knives. Very good quality on the sheaths. I think this knife has a lot of potential, but I can not rate it highly because of the blade grind and finish issues.

Works For Me...
I use the E-nep as a tactical/camp knife. I also use it to throw, Thai martial arts style, mostly underhand. When here on the property, it is always on my side. I am very pleased with the solid construction, and the design. I was displeased with the inconsistent edge on blade. Took some work to get it evenly sharp. Can't ask for more in a sheath. And the swivel is handy and necessary. It won't be my last Condor.
