Description
CN48014HC: Barong Machete | Carbon Steel
Condor Tool & Knife

This 14" Filipino machete came at the request of martial artists for a long but lighter heavy duty martial arts weapon. The Condor Barong will perform well in the hands of any outdoorsman or practitioner, with a full flat grind and distal taper. At 14", the leaf shaped blade is one of the handiest cutting tools available. Additionally, a sharp point and a hidden tang all the way to the back of the handle make it tough enough for any boar.

Real zombie slayer
Bought it for my machete collection. The barong can slash, hack and trust like a sword, but its far more handier. In my opinion it is the best big blade for home defense and to survive a zombie invasion. The delivered blade could be sharper, but this is no real problem concerning the steel. This tool was made for working....Highly recommended

Cons: Handle Material, Blade Sharpness
this product is good in the forest but not so much in the small city, it isn't sharp enough for me. It could be better if the handle wasn't so slippery.

Bang A Barong!
This knife came very sharp but I always have to try and improve on perfection. So I put it on my strop and got it hair shaving sharp. Now i was worried that with such a fine edge that it may roll under some hard use so I used it to cut a dead branch off of a tree and then cut all of the smaller branches off of it. After that I cut the dead branch into several pieces with it then used one of the pieces as a baton and used it to split some wood to make a small fire. Amazingly the edge did not roll but did need touched up on the strop to make it wicked sharp again. The handle material made it very comfortable during chopping and I did not experience any hand fatigue like I have with other machetes. The leather sheath is of excellent quality and holds the barong well on my belt. This barong is the perfect size and weight for all camp chores and is my new take along for extended walkabouts. You can't go wrong for the money with this barong machete.
