Description
CR3500: HoodWork Survival Knife
CRKT

When it comes to survival of the fittest, you want a knife that can adapt. The HoodWork is a Karen Hood survival knife that was born and bred to keep you innovative and alive in the woods. It's a USA made, modified drop point blade with exclusive, patented Veff Serrations and a G10 handle that is comfortable and confident in hand. The HoodWork survival knife is crafted from a solid billet of 1095 high carbon steel that is sandblasted, then sealed with a clear Cerakote coating for durability in harsh conditions. The custom sheath is made in the USA from 6/7 oz. full grained leather. The leather is vegetable tanned for durability and beauty, then locked stitched with heavy weight nylon thread, and best of all it will not corrode metal. The sheath fits belts with widths up to 2.5 inches. It includes a small pouch for carrying firesteel, tinder, sharpener, or other survival essentials. Comes with an orange 550 paracord lanyard so you can attach the knife securely to your hand when cutting or to find it easier in a bag when not in use. A great survival/camp knife designed by Karen Hood and built sturdy and strong by CRKT.

Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel (it will rust) and most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

USA Made Survival Knife
I bought this knife while visiting TN. It's a large knife and is made of 1095 carbon steel but it does have a clear cera-kote applied to it to resist rust. This knife was very well thought out by Karen Hood and it's a blast to use and to carry. This knife will not let you down. Just add a ferro rod and you have a sure way to set up an emergency shelter or anything else..

Great Camp and Kitchen Knife
THis is an awesome knife and worth the price being offered here on Knifecenter. Excellent blade ergonomics, super comfortable handle, and extremely sharp and functional. This is my go too camp and kitchen knife. The Veff serrations are amazingly sharp as well. Won't snag and make nice smooth cuts. The sheath is excellent as well. The snap has a little extension on the tip making it very easy to unhook and remove the knife. Nice touch. Overall I highly recommend this blade!
