Ed Halligan has more KISSes for you. Pucker up. The original series is now available in black Teflon® plating. Not only is black the most popular color in knives in recent years, but it has real functional value. It is less reflective and creates a protective barrier against corrosion. So it is only natural that we would offer Knifemakers Guild Member and K.I.S.S. designer "Daddy K.I.S.S." Ed Halligan's creations in black dress. Today's technology allows the blade, frame and clip to receive a special Teflon® plating that is tough and long lasting. K.I.S.S.® stands for "Keep It Super Simple." It's one honey of a knife, precision fine blanked for superior fit and smooth operation. Ed Halligan's unique two-piece construction features an integral Frame Lock, and a breakthrough design which seals the cutting edge against the handle. Blade and frame are AUS 6M stainless steel. A thumb stud is used to one-hand open the blade, and as the blade is fully rotated open, the Frame Lock snaps crisply in behind the blade to guarantee a sound lock-up. The blade can be closed with one hand, simply by releasing the Frame Lock. The K.I.S.S. in the Dark blade shape is Tanto-inspired Chisel-Point grind on the front and flat on the backside so that when the blade is closed onto its handle/frame, the precision fit effectively "seals" the cutting edge to the frame, even though it's exposed. Blade: Overall length: 2.25" (5.7 cm) Cutting edge: 2.25" (5.7 cm) Thickness: 0.12" (0.30 cm) Steel: AUS 6M, 55-57 HRC Handle: Closed length: 3.5" (8.9 cm) Weight: 2.2 oz. (62 g)
Frame Lock
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Steel Handles
Steel Handles
Stainless Steel knife handles provide strength and durability while using chromium oxide to create a rust-resistant barrier.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Pocket Clip, Overall Quality, Lock Type, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use
Good design, sharp as a razor.
I carried a gerber folding box opener for 4 years, I liked the ability to be able to replace the blades but the ball that kept the knife closed broke while I closed the knife (to much tension on the liner lock). I looked around to replace it with a small edc knife and the kiss is great. Mine came a little loose on the lock side and the blade opened slightly once while i sat (I now alway clip my knife under my belt with the blade against me and I increased the tension in the lock) but it was a minor issue. This thing is so sharp ! I was curious about the single sided blade bevel but it works !
