CR6520: 6520 Liong Mah Design #5
The Liong Mah series from Columbia River Knife and Tool company is composed of simple and inexpensive folding pocket knives that are easy to carry and simple to deploy. They have a smooth, shaped G10 handle with a deep pocket clip. The blade opens without locking and the hand guard and thumb position orients the knife so that the easy closing shouldn't effect your work. Because it doesn't lock open, however, don't buy this knife for a lot of tough work with odd holding positions because the slipjoint mechanism does not keep the blade in the open position easily.

Designer Liong Mah has a simple purity to his knife designs, which transcend old style qualities with modern technologies and materials.

The #5 and #6 folding pocket knives feature Mah's deep, hollow ground blade style that provides a stout cutting edge from tip to choil and finger guard. Broadly shaped G10 scales use finger grooves and surface profile to afford versatile grip even with its desirably small stature. You will find the slip joint locking mechanism a refreshing throwback in a contemporary design. And the fob/tether is a nicely added benefit.

Design #5 comes in a Razor-Sharp Cutting Edge, while the blade for Design #6 is dressed up with the new Veff Flat Top Serrations for superior cutting of fibrous materials.

For the knife user who wants maximum blade in a "low-drag" carry, these are it.

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Lock Type, Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material
Cons: None
As a collector I have sought out knives that have unique qualities. However my most expensive knives become distant friends and never experience use. This knife immediately fell to my notice in the dealers case. In the hand it had my enjoyment immediately on notice and the more I played with it I knew that it would become my new companion. And it is complaints to date.

Great little folder!
I like the beauty and simplicity of this little folder. It is well constructed, with a handle big enough to grip securely. I use for lighter tasks like cutting string or thin rope, opening letters and boxes. Since it is a slip-joint and not a lock-back, it can fold on you under stress in the closing direction and is not recommended for heavy work. That said, I am very fond of this knife and carry it often.

Bad clip
This is an excellent knife in almost every regard with the exception of the pocket clip. The clip design isnt too bad and allows nice and deep carry. However it is only fastened by one screw and this screw wont screw all the way in for some reason. This results in the clip being very loose and making a slight rattling sound. Its very annoying and for me at least it sort of ruins the product. This may however be an issue that is only found on the product I received and yours might be fine. Other than that it is a little difficult to open with one hand, although I think it will be fine with some practice. I haven't tried to sharpen it yet so I cant comment on the steel. But it seems good enough. Overall this would have been a 4 or 5 star knife if it wasn't for the pocket clip. So considering the price I'd say go for it.
