Description
CR8900: Eraser - Designed by Liong Mah
CRKT

A professional level tool that is as solid as it is functional.

Designer Liong Mah uses a bold profile to shape his vision of tactical. The Eraser™ locking liner tactical folding knife is designed and built to perform in your world. Its modified tanto blade wields a strong point for tough piercing into a variety of materials, and the elongated cutting edge can go the distance.

Opening the blade is rapid with use of the Flipper on the spine. Another added feature is the patented* LAWKS™ manual safety mechanism so you can secure the blade when open. The robust Eraser™ handle has a slight bend at the fore end to create a more substantial grip form for thrusting. The handle shape also affords a nice blade guard as well as a generous pommel. The machined G10 scales are radius contoured to fill the grip and the full, stainless steel liners create a formidable foundation for tough use.

All in all, the Eraser™ folder is one hell of a tactical folder that can take every bit of what you can dish out.

Pros: Handle Feel, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
A Really Nice Knife
One of my favorite knives because of the feel in the hand. I don't want to put it down! The flipper doesn't open the blade all the way but a slight flip of the wrist does the trick. The liner lock is easy to push aside and there isn't any play in the blade. It also has a secondary blade lock that's activated by a small switch once the blade is in the open position, but the blade is solid without the secondary lock. I guess its for piece of mind. CRKT knives are one of my favorite brands because if the quality of the finished product and the Mah Eraser is no exception. And the blade shape is awesome!

Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, None
Cons: Ease of Opening, Overall Quality, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type
Has it's good points,and bad..
The Eraser could have been a very good folder. But sadly,CRKT dropped the ball big time on this design..This folder develops blade play almost immediately, and due to it's construction,it's unavoidable..I would have loved to seen this a thumbstud,or hole, and it not utilizing the flipper action..Also Made it a frame or back lock..And a knife this size MUST have thicker liners..The liners are way too thin the way they are..Throw in 154cm steel, and i would have gladly paid $100-150 for it..As is,i wish i'd got something else..For the price,a Cold Steel folder is a better deal..The Eraser could have been an all time favorite. But as is,it's not even close..It just looks good..

Pros: Pocket Clip, Lock Ease of Use, Blade Material, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, None
Cons: Overall Quality, Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use
Looks Amazing, but flawed.
Pros: unique opening click sound, awesome feel in hand, beautiful grind. cons: liner lock spring flawed the liner lock spring is to weak and developed up & down blade play. Uber complicated to put back together once pulled apart. 2 nylon washers 2 bronze washers & 1 lawks mechanism disc must be all aligned. handle feels grate, but quite slippery. final verdict: not recommended.
