Cons: None
Amazingly Small Piece w/ Stunning Detail & Precision
This is a classic Ken Onion piece. It's original larger guise was clearly deserving of the Knife of the Year Award. The detail machined into the titanium handles is stunning, the sweep of the blade's edge is, frankly put, sexy as all hell. No liners, which means the 'liner' lock is part of the handle, and even scalloped w/ grooves for easy location. The hinge bearing and sprung action is so smooth that it didn't even occur to me to look for a thumb stud. The flipper snaps the blade out lightning quick. All this detail and precision in a piece that measure barely 3" closed, w/ a e" blade makes it all the more stunning. Which brings me to the one thing I wish I'd known before I bought this, which is quite how small it is. In full disclosure, the above comments are made from a 10-minute span, as I've decided to return it, and purchase the full size original. That's why I've no long-term feedback on how well it holds up. Knowing both CRKT & Ken Onion's work well, I can safely say I've no doubt it'll be perfect.

Cons: Sheath, None
Tiny, light, imperceptable in the pocket
I bourght this knife several months ago and have been intending to write a review. It is very light and beautifully designed. The flipper works perfectly and has smoothed up with use. The blade was very sharp as delivered and it has retained its edge. The knife is more appropriately a clothing accessory--a nice slim item to drop into a pair of dress trousers, and not a piece of utilitarian equipment to hang from a clip in your jeans pocket. The knife does have a pocket clip, but it seems impractical considering its size. The knife did not come with a sheath and I I wanted a simple leather pocket pouch similar to the one for the Chris Reeve Mnandi and Small Sebenza. All such commerically-made pouches were way too big. So I went to my local leather shop and purchased the hide and tools to make my own--which turned out "just right," and could even accomodate the clip.

Incredible tiny blade!
I bought this knife about 6 months ago after having the Eros 1 for a couple of years. It is pretty much a scale model of the larger Eros 1. It is really neat to look at and see the degree of precision it took to get a 3-D machined titanium framelock this small and light. The IKBS flipper works like a charm, and the frame lock has a solid lockup. It can be slightly more difficult to unlock than the full size eros, mostly just do to being only 66% of the size. The blade is the same thickness as the full size, but is still super thing and an incredible slicer. At only .7 oz, this knife goes in my pocket werever I go. I often pair it with the full size, just to have the neat big bro/lil bro effect, but sometimes I use it as my friendly backup to my ZT 0301 or ZT 0560. It may be pricey for such a small knife, but once you have it in hand it is easy to see why. Huge fan of this knife! Great Job CRKT and Ken Onion!
