CRKSEB21LINSINGO: Large Sebenza 21 Insingo
Chris Reeve Knives

Chris Reeve Knives describes this item as follows:

Who would have thought back in 1988 that Chris's titanium handle folder would become a legend in the industry! Constant attention to design details and an unwavering commitment to quality in every aspect of the knife has created the Sebenza as a hallmark of excellence. To mark this amazing milestone, we are planning to make some changes to the lineup of Sebenzas.

We are going to stop making almost all Regular profile Sebenzas. The profile on the Classic will change slightly and this version will be known as Sebenza 21.

The design change on Sebenza 21 gives a more pronounced chamfer on the pivot edge of the handle allowing the knife to be inserted more easily into a pocket or sheath. The engraving of "Classic MM" on the back of the Classic Sebenza will be eliminated, making differentiation of the two models easy! The blade shape remains the same.

This Large Sebenza features a stonewashed S35VN Insingo blade with sand blasted handles. Each Sebenza is individually fitted to the closest tolerances.

I review my Sebenza previously but forgot to mention how pleased I was with the KnifeCenter transaction. Good price, free shipping, excellent communication and arrived sooner than expected. Can't ask for more...

Pros: Pocket Clip, Handle Feel, Overall Quality
Cons: Weight, None
Outstanding, worth every penny!
Had I known about Cris Reeves Knives, I would have bought one years ago. I have never felt a knife that feels this good in the hand, the fit & finish is simply hard to describe until you feel one for yourself. They are a little expensive costing about twice a much as a high-end Benchmade but for me, since this is a long term EDC, worth every penny! The pivot action is very smooth and predictable, it is not the fastest deploying tactical folder out there, but for EDC, it is exactly what I wanted. The frame lock lock-up is rock solid, it sounds like a vault door closing when the lock engages. I would expect this lockup to take quite a bit of punishment without failing. The 3.76" S35VN Insingo Blade was the major selling feature for me. I love the shape of the Insingo blade and so far does everything from cutting rope to spreading peanutbutter. Easily sharpens to paper slicing / hair shaving sharpness and holds that edge through use. If you take pride in your EDC knife but expect a hard use, stay sharp, do everything blade, you can't do better than the CRK Sebenza. Minor criticism: Weight, at 4.7 oz. the Sebenza is a little on the heavy side. I wish this knife weighed about an oz. less. It does carry well in the pocket and the added weight in the hand gives the knife a great feel but less than 4 oz would be great.
