Description
CS10ALC: Counter Point I
Cold Steel

Our Counter Point folders offer almost all the same benefits as our Counter TAC boot knife series but in a smaller, lighter, and more easily concealed package. The blades are in a classic boot knife shape with long false edges and needle sharp points to guarantee the ultimate in penetration.

The handles of our Counter Points are also reminiscent of our Counter TAC's. They¹re injection molded from Grivory and have steel liners to enhance their strength and rigidity. They offer an unusually secure grip for their diminutive size. They're carefully sculptured and contoured with strategically placed holes to reduce weight, and they sport a unique thumb rest built into the butt, affording excellent purchase and a wide variety of grip options.

While no folding knife can ever hope to compete with a fixed blade boot knife in overall strength, our Counter Point folders come much closer than any competitor in their size range due to the revolutionary Tri-Ad® lock. Designed to withstand horrendous stress and strain, it shrugs off impact from any angle without fail and offers a huge margin of safety for your precious fingers.

To enable your Counter Point to be swiftly drawn and ready for action we have equipped them with fully ambidextrous pocket clips and thumb studs. Clipped to a boot top, pocket or waistband, the Counter Points are just about invisible and so light they truly can be carried 24-7.

awesome
The counter point 1 is incredible. I have found myself carrying it a lot more than I thought I would. It came razor sharp, it's just as tough as you'd expect from cold steel. Built like a tank, locks like a bank. Overall, great great knife.

A "tactiletto"?
Got this on something of a whim as my 6" CS ti-lite is too massive for regular carrying and I love a good stiletto. Quickly became my favorite as it fills so many personal niches. Has stiletto style with tactical details and beefy enough that it feels kinda like a diving or hunting knife. It really feels great in the hand and, combined with exceptional sturdiness & light weight, has become my urban AND back-country edc. The lock-up is extremely firm and gives the feel of a fixed blade boot knife but not too stiff to unlock (despite what other reviews say). All I miss is one-hand closure.

Strong, Solid Design
I was looking for a lock back folder with a 4" blade for general utility use, and based on previous experiences with Cold Steel products, I decided to give the Counter Point I a try. My first impressions are that this is a very sturdy knife, with an ergonomic grip, and very sharp. It is bulkier than other knives I have used (Spyderco Police Model, CRKT M16-12), but still very light and easy to carry. The Tri Ad Lock system is strongest locking system I have ever seen on a folding knife, there is absolutely no blade play at all. I had read quite a few reviews (the vast majority favorable) before purchasing this knife, and I believe the overall quality and durability of the Counter Point I are better than most reviewers gave it credit for. Overall, I feel this knife is a great value for the price, and I highly recommend it.
