CS10ALC: Counter Point I
Cold Steel

Our Counter Point folders offer almost all the same benefits as our Counter TAC boot knife series but in a smaller, lighter, and more easily concealed package. The blades are in a classic boot knife shape with long false edges and needle sharp points to guarantee the ultimate in penetration.

The handles of our Counter Points are also reminiscent of our Counter TAC's. They¹re injection molded from Grivory and have steel liners to enhance their strength and rigidity. They offer an unusually secure grip for their diminutive size. They're carefully sculptured and contoured with strategically placed holes to reduce weight, and they sport a unique thumb rest built into the butt, affording excellent purchase and a wide variety of grip options.

While no folding knife can ever hope to compete with a fixed blade boot knife in overall strength, our Counter Point folders come much closer than any competitor in their size range due to the revolutionary Tri-Ad® lock. Designed to withstand horrendous stress and strain, it shrugs off impact from any angle without fail and offers a huge margin of safety for your precious fingers.

To enable your Counter Point to be swiftly drawn and ready for action we have equipped them with fully ambidextrous pocket clips and thumb studs. Clipped to a boot top, pocket or waistband, the Counter Points are just about invisible and so light they truly can be carried 24-7.

Very good folder value
First I want to give another hat tip to Knife Center. This was my 5th or 6th purchase from them and every one has been perfect, shipped and delivered quickly, and very well priced. These guys have their act together. The Counter Point1 offers excellent value in a 4 inch high quality folder. Mine was supersharp out of the box and this particular example was pretty easy to unlock, unlike others' comments and some of my other Cold Steel folders. It is natural to compare the CP1 to my 4" Recon1 spear point which is currently $13 more expensive. The CP1 is a little lighter, which is good, but a little thicker despite the same blade thickness, which makes for a slight disadvantage for pocket carrying. The CP1 has a slightly shallower belly which won't matter. The biggest difference is in the handle design and material. The Recon1's G10 handle and finger grip design just feels better to me and works better for my hand which is relatively small. That is not to say that the CP1 is hard to hold or use. The difference is subtle but could account for the price difference. All in all the CP1 is a terrific knife for the price.
