CS12CT: Safe Keeper III
Cold Steel

Cold Steel describes this item as follows:

Safe Keeper Series

Here are perhaps the finest production push knives in almost 150 years. They have the cutting and piercing potential of a larger knife, but are small enough so that they can be easily attached to tactical web gear, tucked in a waistband or boot top, or even strapped to a wrist or ankle.

Safe Keeper III
The Safe Keeper III offers outstanding versatility, especially as a boot knife. Its light weight and overall length of five inches make it the perfect combination of small size and big performance. The single edged design of the Safe Keeper III means you can safely "choke up" on the blade for extra fine work, while the false edge provides superior point strength. With only one sharp edge, the Safe Keeper III can double as a rescue knife.

Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Descrete and and handy
Bought this knife to keep in my car. It's shorter blade length keeps it legal everywhere. The knife is small yet fits my big hand comfortably with it's cushioned hard rubber grip. The sheath has holes for lashing or attaching. I used four self taping screws to attach the sheath under my dash, for easy access. The sheath hold the knife firmly yet releases nicely. The only thing I'd rather see changed is the false edge actually be sharpened, for a double edged blade; and the sharpness of the knife as received was insufficient to slice paper neatly. A few licks with my sharpener changed that.

as advertised...
Very sturdy, and easily carried push knife. I have carried this knife just about every day both on and off duty over the last year. Sheath not exactly top of the line, but has weathered and functioned well. Knife arrived with a nice edge. I believe this push knife to be superior to other more costly push knives due to handle coating , the way it fits my hand , blade length , and ease of carry.

True Cold Steel Quality
I am an avid fan and collector of Cold Steel blades. For some reason I had been hesitant in the past to add the SafeKeeper III to my Cold Steel collection, allowing me to complete the SafeKeeper series of blades. I have both the large and smaller SakeKeeper I & II tactical fighting daggers, with the original SafeKeeper I & the more recent SafeKeeper II push daggers. I always thought the SafeKeeper III push dagger would turn out to be insufficient in some manner as compared to it's two big brothers, but the moment I held the III in my hand I knew my former inhibitions concerning the smaller of the 3 SafeKeeper series push daggers had been completely unfounded. Size isn't everything! Lol. At least not were some knives are concerned. The SafeKeeper III has the same overall Cold Steel quality as all the SafeKeeper series blades, large and smaller models. From the kraton handle, which grips perfectly in my hand, to the sleek design and quality of the steel, the blade is well designed for it's purpose. This push dagger is the equal of it's two big brothers. I would have continued to do myself a disservice if I had not purchased this blade.
