CS29TLVS: Vaquero Voyager Large Serrated Edge
Cold Steel

The Vaquero Voyager Series folders all feature our distinctive "S-Curve" clip point blade style. They are precision flat ground to form a long, shallow "V" shaped cross section. This is ideal for shearing through thick, fibrous materials such as manila rope, cable, hose, belts, etc. The serrated edges form a sinuous double curve. This means that whatever material is struck with the inward curving portion of the edge (near the hand) will automatically force the remaining curved edge entirely through.

These strong, handsome folders deliver an unequalled fit and finish. They are carefully machined and hand fitted by master craftsmen who take great pride in their work. Feel the power of the massively strong locking mechanisms as you thumb one of these blades open. The deeply checkered, and ergonomically designed Zytel® handles are cleverly reinforced with enough rigidity, strength, and toughness to virtually last a lifetime. Double thumb studs on each side of the razor sharp blade allow you to open these folders with either hand in the blink of an eye.

For convenience, a black stainless steel pocket clip is included. This allows for safe and secure carry in any environment.

Cons: Pocket Clip, Ease of Opening, None
looking for a self defense blade? look no further.
i own 4 of these folders with plans for more. its not hording its preserving time in the form of a knife. i was complimented on the shoes i was wearing the other day and they asked where they could buy a pair like the ones i was wearing, i told them thats gonna be tough unless you have a time machine. 10 years from now they ask me where they can buy a knife like my vaquero and ill reply the same way. you cant go wrong with the price of the vaquero either. if you lose it in an self defense encounter, or your in a not so knife friendly country you can just toss it if the heat gets close. you wont miss it just pull out another when you get back to home base. i gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 because the pocket clip to thumb stud geometry is not quite there, in other words the clip is to far from the thumb studs and you have to re adjust your grip to present it after youve drawn it from your pocket, ive removed the clip and carry it in pocket with a lanyard. if i see some bad guys approaching i simply put my hand in my pocket until their intentions are realized. getcha one.

Cons: Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use
I love Cold Steel. This was my first Cold Steel folder. I don't think I will buy another. I liked the fact that it came sharp and the way it fits in my hand. Beyond that I wouldn't recommend it.

Good everyday carry
After waiting 10 months on backorder, I finally received my knife today. I have two of the older model Vaquero's in 3" and 5" to compare this one to. The handle design is much improved and is more stable in the hand. The new Tri-Ad lock is sturdier than the old design but initially a little harder to open. The stonewash look to the blade is OK but I prefer to see the actual steel. The only downfalls is that this version is from Taiwan instead of made in Japan and the serrations on the blade are not as long or deep as the original blades.
