Description
CS58TPS: 58TPS Code-4 Spear Point
Cold Steel

There are very few things in life as comforting as knowing you are carrying a good knife. Many of our friends and colleagues in Law Enforcement talk about how they're always looking for that one faithful, reliable, lightweight knife that can become a permanent part of their every day load out.

When designing our Code 4 series we took inspiration from that feeling of reliability and developed a knife that we believe is destined to become the standard embodiment of dependability.

We created an ultra-thin, ultra-light, highly functional utility knife that is incredibly comfortable to carry all day. It won't weigh down your uniform or provide the kind of unnecessary bulk that may cause you to leave the knife at home, causing you to be unprepared in your time of need. Invariably, the best knife for the job is the one you have with you!

Available in a variety of blade configurations, with an ambidextrous pocket clip and thumb studs, the Code 4 series feature sturdy, hard-anodized gun metal grey 6061 Aluminum handles, the unparalleled strength of our world renowned and exclusive Tri-Ad lock and high satin polished, razor sharp Japanese AUS8A blades.

Make a Code 4 part of your daily carry to experience the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ll always have a truly great high performance folder when you need one.

Great Knife
I'm a cold steel fan. I have many. this is a very well made knife. It's light and balanced. Smooth with no snag points which makes drawing it out of the pocked quick. The blade is super sharp locks solidly, backed up with that 'Triad' lock designed by cold steel. Overall it exudes quality and reliability. It feels great in the hand. You'll like it.

Tough EDC
This is a great medium duty EDC folder. Simply as that, some complain that its made in Taiwan, this is just as good, if not better as many knives thats made in the US. Making it overseas make it cheaper, but that does not mean its bad quality. I like the TriAd lock, its not the lock for everyone tough. Its hard to close it onehanded, but its a real good and tight closeup on it. This was my first Cold Steel knife that was not shaving sharp out of the box, but that does not really matter, it was close tough. I have used it for everything from paper, fruit and bushcraft. The lock still holds up tight, no bladeplay, the edge don`t hold as well as I expeted, but its moderately easy to resharpen. Overall, a great tough little folder.

Cons:
Decent knife,BUT made in Taiwan.
Get a Buck SpitFire.MADE IN THE USA.Basically the same handles, similar blade shape, length, for HALF the $.No it does not have the tri-ad lock, but that's over kill, and not worth the x-tra $$ to begin with.Any experienced outdoorsman would NEVER put too much pressure on a folder to begin with.Even though 420hc is not that good of steel,i'll take a Paul Bos heat treated 420hc blade over a Taiwan sweat shop heat treated Aus8 CS blade ANYDAY.
