Misunderstood handle length
I don't think most people realize that the handle is short for a reason. It's not an ax, it's a tomahawk. Other cold steel tomahawks handles are too long. The handle completely fits the purpose. High speed attacks in close quarters, the ability to change direction in mid swing, and to pick out small gaps in defenses, like a knife but with the cutting power of an ax. I'm sure people would like a longer handle but that would make it an ax, not a tomahawk. So if you are put off by the coments about the handle being too short ignore them and buy it. Because IF the handle was longer; yeah it would have more power/reach. But it would be slow and wouldn't be able to make lightening fast attacks with the speed and precision of a combat knife. Buy this thing. You will be glad you heeded my advice. And as for balance, which would be weight distribution along the handle. It's perfect. The balance is at the tip of the weapon to provide the most powerful swing possible like that of a kilij or a scimitar. There is no good or bad balance with a tomahawk unless its tilted left or right. And for the handle; it's a replica, what the f*** did you expect?
