Description
CS92R1OD: Peace Keeper I Rubber Training Knife
Cold Steel

Now you can practice with some of our most popular knife designs, in relative safety, with our rubber training knives. We have rubber training versions of our Peace Keeper I, the R1 Military Classic, Recon Tanto, and the Black Bear Classic. Each has been carefully fashioned to look as realistic as possible so they can be effectively used in solo practice, training drills, disarm drills, and demonstrations and any other activity where you want a reasonably close approximation of realism but not the extreme danger and risk associated with an actual knife. The Santoprene rubber blades are soft enough to prevent the likelihood of most bodily injury. They do however, have a level of firmness that might cause injury to the face or the eyes, so it is recommended that appropriate eye protection or a fencing mask is utilized at all times when using a Cold SteelĀ® rubber training knife.

Pros: Blade Material, Materials, Handle Material, Weight, Overall Quality, Finish
Cons: None
amazing tool for knife fight simulation.
I use this knife in conjunction with another knife or stick, as well as alone; as far as hubud, sombrada, and numerada training go, the length teaches proper blocking technique against a weapon longer than a pocket knife. The firm construction is a must for gross motor disarms (where floppy blades are safer, but there is no real-world leverage in disarming). The firmness is also very unsafe for sparring without the proper gear: you could easily bust a floating rib with a stab. All in all, when used appropriately, this is the best training knife construction I have ever seen for its particular niche of isolated knife manipulation, and extremely padded sparring.

Pros: Handle Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
I teach a self defense class at my hospital and having knifes like this really help the students get the feel of having a knife against their throat and seeing that they can disarm or disable the person without getting cut.

Cold Steel Peach Keeper Training Knife
My company, uses these training knives in all firearms classes but specifically in AirSoft Force-On-Force Combatives. I find that they are very durable and have a less "fake rubber knife" feel to them. They are exact dupiicates of the very popular Peace Keeper Knife which was a great selling point. The edges are blunt so there's no danger in hurting students during the Combatives. I have placed a silver-colored metal tape where the "blade" is to make them look even more real. Cold Steel: A job well done.
