CS97THKL: 97THKL Two Handed Katana Machete
Cold Steel
As a young man Lynn C Thompson was already studying and training in a variety of fighting arts.

He always dreamed of owning a Katana, but even a lower priced WWII era sword was far too expensive, often costing hundreds and hundreds of dollars!

That's why, over 30 years later Lynn created his Katana Machete.

Made in our factory in South Africa, it's fully sharpened blade with it's modern tactical Tanto point is heat treated to a tough spring temper. Sporting a black, baked-on anti-rust finish, it is tough, reliable and almost impervious to the elements.

To facilitate one or two-handed use, Lynn paired the full tang blade with a long extra tough injection molded polypropylene handle with a sturdy cross guard.

An excellent bushcraft tool, capable machete and superb beginner's Katana, the Katana Machete is equally at home clearing brush in the wilderness and cutting Tatami Mats in your back yard.

Now, Lynn has increased the blade length of the Machete to 24"! Packing even more cutting power into this super-affordable modern Katana.

Pros: Handle Material, Weight, None
Cons: Finish, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material
Katana /machete
Excellent for chopping things that a rational person would not, menacing burglars, and reenacting scenes from "Highlander". You will NOT use it for camping in a meaningful way. It was designed for paranoid doomsday preppers and people that like to believe zombies will attack. Until they do, you'll probably be slicing fruits in the air and stabbing the ground. FYI, it does wobble like Braveheart's sword after you cast it across the sky. The blade is made from melted cans of cat food and it was sharpened by someone pinching the edge with his fingers. The most expensive part of the blade is the glue they use for the sticker that says "Made in South Africa". Apparently, things are made in Africa. Who knew? Still the best katana/machete I ever bought.

Great Machete for the money. Well made good balance and wicked looking. The tang seems to go the length of the handle. Not a toy or a cheap useless wall hanger. It is just plain fun. A must have for the zombie apocalypse.
